Dr.
Hoon Hong
is a mathematics professor at North Carolina State University. His
research interests are in the area of computer algebra, in particular
quantifier elimination.
He received a BS from Seoul National University in Korea and MS
and PhD from Ohio State University in USA. During 1991-1996, he
was an assistant/associate professor at the Research Institute for
Symbolic Computation in Austria.
He has served as an elected member at large for the ISSAC Steering
Committee during 1997-1999 and also as the elected vice-chair of
SIGSAM during 1995-1996. He has been general/program committee chair
for many international conferences in the area of symbolic computation,
including the upcoming ISSAC 2003 (Philadelphia, USA).
He is currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Symbolic
Computation. |
