Solving Piecewise Hermite Interpolation Problem with Blending Methods

Abstract. Three methods are proposed to solve the piecewise Hermite interpolation problem according to a given triangulation of the point set. Both the first and the second methods are completely local and give a piecewise algebraic surface with Gn-continuity. The third method gives a global solution with G1-continuity mainly with cubic surfaces. This method uses less surface patches as compared with previous work.
