Abstract. In this talk, some new methods and research progress on isochronous centers and bifurcations of limit cycles for planar differential systems are discussed. The presentation consists of three parts: 1. A new method to determine isochronous center conditions for polynomial differential systems; 2. The center and the isochronous center at infinity; 3. The progress of study on bifurcations of limit cycles from infinity.
